In Mainland China, AI has become a mandatory subject from September 2025, with 8 hours per year in primary schools and a $3.3 billion national AI education strategy. Hong Kong has mandated 10–14 hours of AI education for secondary students and is developing a comprehensive AI literacy framework under the Blueprint for Digital Education 2026.
